UK cover art for Brandon Sanderon's ELANTRIS.

From Westeros.org's cover art-hunter Jussi. Very much in the same minimalist of The Way of Kings and The Mistborn Trilogy:

I like the art direction, but as with Kings I find the actual image somewhat underwhelming (though the Kings image has grown on me, so maybe this well as well). Good to see the book finally arriving in the UK as well, six years after US publication.

This is brilliant, easily my favourite of his UK covers so far (though I did like the first Mistborn one a lot on first sight, it got average quickly in my head, so I'll see with this one I suppose)...

I just hope there isn't a deluge of similarly-minded but worse-executed covers following on from Sanderson's.

I dunno... I kinda like the cover. Then again, I'm lame like that. I mean, I occasionally refer to your blog as The Squirtzone... and that, my friend, is lame...

I must say I'm a bit confused, Wert. I picked Elantris up in a discount bookstore, and I've seen it in other UK stores, so I thought it was already here.

Love the cover, though, it's really nice!

Have you not read this one yet Wert?

If not, then it is a nice debut novel by an currently prolific author. You can see shades of what he will become, and his trademark twists and surprises abound.

I really like these Sanderson covers. Shame I don't actually like his books very much!

Just a quick FYI: BCA, through its SFF book club, did publish Elantris in the UK not too long after it was released in the USA.
